The University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine have been named hosts for the opening two rounds of the 2013 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament. The Wahine, who were placed in the Los Angeles Regional, open play Friday against Idaho State.

Also in 11th-seeded Hawaii’s subregional are Arizona State (19-13) and BYU (22-6). The Sun Devils and Cougars will play at 5: p.m. Friday, followed by UH (24-4) and Idaho State (23-11) at 7:30 p.m. The winners will battle at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The Wahine enter the tournament winners of their final eight matches. They secured their 19th straight conference title this past weekend, beating UC Riverside in their final regular season match to finish in a three-way tie with UC Santa Barbara and Cal State Northridge for the Big West Conference title. UCSB and CSUN were also named to the 64-team field.

First and second round ticket packages will go on sale at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Stan Sheriff Center and individual round tickets will be available at 9 a.m. Friday.
